Well. Do you guys remember when I said I might be making Ironman related knitwear? I’ve started doing a test to gauge how much time it will take to make a pair, how much materials I will need, and am also figuring out the pattern. So the yarn I used is just whatever I had laying around, which is why the yellow is off; I didn’t happen to have any gold yarn on hand, and I already have about a dozen things I want to change about the way I started this glove. Which is good! That means the ones I would actually sell would be more polished!
This is actually more of a gauntlet than a glove; it’s meant to go up past the elbow, mimicking the actual armor. What do you guys think of the cable detail? I’ve been trying to come up with things I could add to make it prettier, but I’m thinking I will lean towards simplicity. After all, less detail = less time = faster to make = I can sell it for cheaper. Which is good, because it takes quite a good chuck of time to hand knit a long tube. Let a lone a pair of them! Maybe I should just be making gloves instead of gauntlets…
Anyway! I just wanted to show you guys that I’m working on the pattern. Because feedback keeps me motivated! If you are a person who is interested in handmade Avengers knitwear, and helping me (someone who has just quit her awful job, as explained here) make it out in the big bad world, tell me what you want! Let me know that you’re interested!
Like this post and/or send me a message if you want Avengers things, and I will make them!

This is really gorgeous! I’d love to make something like this!
Oh so beautiful! Reblogging because I have the intent to make something similar!
These are the leggings I am trying to knit. I have never knitted something of this magnitude before. Wish me luck?
I want to make these!
Soooo cute. Little old men!
I knew it! Stormtroopers do knit!!!
I feel stupid reblogging this when all I really care about reading right now is the updates on the events in Libya. However, all of the posts are so equally shocking, and I can’t reblog all of them. So until I finally pick up my jaw and organize my thoughts, this is what I’m reblogging.
Meet my dear new friend Marvin. We hang out. He’s been done for a few days, but I had forgotten that I promised to upload a picture of him finished.
Continuing my knitting exploits, I am in the middle of my first plushie. He is but legless right now, and not quite put together.
This is Marvin the Paranoid Android, a monument to the 2005 film, Alan Rickman voiced robot.
Hebb gave me some delightful ideas to continue the series, and so I shall. I am officially on a Hitchhiker’s Guide knitting kick, and hope to make many wonderful things.
I will be sure to post a picture when Marvin is finished.
Also, Alan Rickman is a hero.
